Characters Welcome 9: An International Sticker Art Show

We’re pumped to announce the call for submissions for Characters Welcome 9: An International Sticker Art Show! We love the community of sticker artists that meet, exchange ideas, and leave behind tokens of their amazing art here at Tattooed Mom. Characters Welcome celebrates that creative community and reaches out to artists all over the world to show their best hand drawn & printed sticker art. Check out some photos from past Characters Welcome shows as well as submissions for this year’s show on our Instagram.

All are welcome to contribute to Characters Welcome 9. First time artists will be shown side by side with the seasoned icons in the street art world. Stickers need not be character based. We welcome hand drawn, printed, silk screened, stenciled & collaged stickers.

The stickers will be displayed in a show at Tattooed Mom on Friday, October 17th, Saturday, October 18th, and Sunday, October 19th, with additional programming TBA! All stickers will be compiled onto various sized boards and will be available for purchase, as well as special sticker packs, select framed art and more! We’ll have some very special raffle items and rad day-of-show surprises. 100% of ALL sales will go to benefit local youth local arts organizations.

We hope you will share your sticker art with us and the world through Characters Welcome, and spread the word about the show to your fellow artists, friends, and family. The creative exchange and collaboration of this show is at the very heart of what we love to do here at Mom’s.

The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, October 1st, 2025. Please include your artist name, any Instagram or social media handles, and as many stickers as you’d like so we can give you proper credit & share your art with the world! Submissions will not be returned.

posts, stories, tt, reels, yt shorts, go live, go scream off ur roof, hit up the group chat, make an eventbrite, etc… get UR event out in front of UR community & we’ll do the same!

TMOMs Birthday Tee Reprint

In true Aries fashion, we’ve been celebrating our birthday all month long—and we’re closing things out with a reprint of our TMoms @ 22 Artist Edition Tee by local artist Rain!

 

In 2019, Tattooed Mom celebrated 22 years of love & good times always with a TMOMs themed group art show. Years have passed, and we’re still basking in the glow of this fantastic art show/birthday party! This design was inspired by “the fun, creative atmosphere at Tattooed Mom, combined with important social issues.” Plus, “how could [Rain] miss an opportunity to put a message saying ‘Fuck Trump!’ on an illustration?” (Unfortunately, that’s as relevant in 2025 as it was in 2019…)

Accessibility

A Note About Accessibility at Tattooed Mom:

Due to the construction of our historical building, Tattooed Mom is only partially accessible. Our entrance way consists of one door forward followed by an immediate door to the right, leading into our downstairs bar. There’s (1) medium-sized step up through the first door. For folks using wheelchairs and mobility aids, we have a ramp we can lay down to help you access all parts of our first floor. Additionally, when weather permits during the warmer months, our front windows turn into an accordion door which has a larger step up but is a wider entrance point.

Our event space is on the second floor, which is only accessible via a flight of stairs (20 steps, 3 feet wide, railing on the left side only). The stairs lead into our upstairs front room, where art shows are held. Our main event space is located at the back of the second floor. There are (3) steps down to the middle room that holds our upstairs bar (metal railing available), and (2) additional steps up (no railing) leading to the upstairs back room through a doorway.

There are two all gender bathrooms on the first floor, one with a toilet and urinal, and one with only a toilet. The further bathroom is slightly larger, and both bathrooms are accessible via (1) step up midway through the dining room. For folks using wheelchairs and mobility aids, our front door ramp can also be used to access the back of our dining room/first floor bathrooms. There are two bathrooms in the upstairs back room, one with a toilet and urinal, and one with two stalls with a toilet in each. When facing the upstairs bathrooms, the bathroom to the right (with the toilet and urinal) is larger and more accessible.
