Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue is our first ever wheatpaste show & THE event for wheatpaste artists to meet, exchange ideas & share their love for the art form. The show celebrates the international community that pastes on the streets and reaches out to artists all over the world to show their paste up art in all mediums on our walls, ceilings, doors and floors of Tattooed Mom!

You can find more info on how to submit your own wheatpaste art designs to this open call show on our Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue blog post.  NIWSSG submissions flyer & show poster designed by Doomed Future.

All are welcome to contribute to the show: first time artists will be shown side by side with the seasoned titans. Hand drawn, printed, silk screened & collaged wheatpastes will be part of the mix in this diverse display of wheatpaste art media, styles and themes. All wheatpastes will be collaged onto the walls of the 2nd floor of Tattooed Mom by a crew of local paste up artists.

SCRIBES ON SOUTH is a poetry reading and open mic. The reading begins with a 20-minute featured reader and then moves through the open mic list for the rest of the night. Open mic readers have 5 minutes. There will be a space for poets to sell books.

Prone to writing since childhood, it wasn’t until adulthood that poetry surprisingly became Brian’s medium of choice. Their work focuses on the romances of life, the weight of relationships, endlessly unraveling gender, and living in a body, often expressing these themes through symbols of nature. Brian continuously seeks vulnerability and comfort in their work and hopes that other queer and trans people of color can find that same safety in the writing.

Queer Speed Dating with Val’s Lesbian Bar

Val’s Lesbian Bar invites you to join co-owners Julia and Clover for an evening of hot dates, quick questions, and…eternal love??? If you’re looking for the long (U)haul and can’t stand apps any longer, come meet some real live hot queers in a casual, welcoming environment. All ticket proceeds go toward opening costs for Val’s Lesbian Bar, a future casual, welcoming environment for hot queers who can’t stand apps to meet each other.
