South Philly Punks with Lunch x Prettyboy: Fire AF FUN’d Fest
Help South Philly Punks with Lunch founder Prettyboy recover from a tragic fire & support Punks with Lunch through their busiest season yet! Grab a drink to support a good cause, pick up free Narcan, and drop off donations/cash! PLUS: Cool raffle prizes, live entertainment, & more!

South Philly Punks with Lunch is a DIY non-religious not-for-profit street outreach group sharing food, harm reduction supplies and education, clothing, toiletries, and other essentials in South Philadelphia to anyone in need. Established in February 2020, they operate twice-weekly distributions at the Northeast corner of Broad and Snyder, Sundays and Wednesdays from 1:30-3:30. They will be accepting the following items at this event, or you can donate during any of our outreach sessions:
* tents, tarps, and sleeping bags
* boots and durable sneakers in adult sizes
* pop-top canned goods like soups and ravioli
* bottled juices, canned sodas, and other sealed beverages generally made inaccessible by the sugar tax
* portable snacks like granola bars and bags of chips
* backpacks, duffel bags, and luggage (can be used or even slightly damaged)
* reusable shopping bags and large quantities of single-use shopping bags
* socks and underpants must be new in packaging and adult sizes only
* travel-sized toiletries (soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo and conditioner, lotion, etc)
* gift cards where the above supplies can be purchased
* cash to purchase whatever items cannot be sourced for free

Sketchubator: A Sketch Comedy Incubator // August 2023
Philly Sketchfest and My First Sketch return to Tattooed Mom to host a live and in-person sketch comedy open mic. Comedians all over Philadelphia can sign up at sketchubator.com/signup to read and perform their sketches with the help of some of the most experienced and funniest sketch writers and performers in the area. Hosted by Josh Higham of the My First Sketch podcast, Sketchubator is a chance for the city’s sketch comedians to hang out, have a drink, eat some food, and share some laughs. Sketches, character bits, and monologues should be under five minutes with the hopefully unnecessary reminder that Philly Sketchfest will not condone hateful material.

SCRIBES ON SOUTH is a poetry reading and open mic. The reading begins with a 20-minute featured reader and then moves through the open mic list for the rest of the night. Open mic readers have 5 minutes. There will be a space for poets to sell books.
SCRIBES ON SOUTH seeks to create community through poetry. Show out, share, and meet some new friends by sharing your work!
There is no theme; the only theme is poems. Good poems, bad poems, boring poems, fiery poems.

ABOUT THE FEATURES:
Audrey Lee is the author of the poetry collections “Disjecta Membra” (Bottlecap Press, 2022) and “Probably, Angels” (Maverick Duck Press, 2020). She holds a double B.A. in creative writing and American studies from Franklin & Marshall College. She is the winner of the 2020 Jerome Irving Bank Short Story Prize, received a Best of the Net nomination from Drunk Monkeys, has been featured on BBC Radio 4’s “The Poetry Detective” show, and is a former writing resident at Sundress Academy for the Arts. Her work has been featured in or is forthcoming from Wax Nine, Necessary Fiction, Back Patio Press, and she writes her newsletter “Very Normal Girl” on Substack. She lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
ABOUT THE HOST:
Noah David Roberts is a non-binary poet and artist based in Philadelphia. They are the author of 4 books of poetry—Us V. Them, Strips, Slime Thing [and other poems], and Final Girl Mythos. In 2022, Roberts won the Judith Stark poetry writing contest. Their 5th book What I Do In The Dark was released in 2023, and the book launch was celebrated at the April Scribes on South event.
