From archive interviews in England with American music legends who have sold over 50 million records and celebrated 50 years of touring to behind the scenes footage of a next generation of women from the USA touring Europe for the first time, this two-hour documentary explores the rise of independent women in music around the world.

Filmed over five years, Worldwide follows British platform Generation W from a pandemic-era online festival connecting 50 women across 20 countries to an international live music platform presenting more than 100 independent women at historic venues in London, Paris, Copenhagen, New York, Los Angeles, Belfast and beyond.

The documentary is directed by British filmmaker Nick Donnelly, whose previous work includes documenting Wu-Tang Clan behind the scenes in England and directing at Abbey Road Studios for a documentary about a songwriter for Beyoncé.

Featuring never before seen footage of artists from the USA, Europe, Africa, South America, India and across Asia, Uncharted Territories goes behind the scenes with a new generation of women travelling to meet their fans around the world, without needing to fit into a system that always treated women as a minority
