It’s showtime at Tattooed Mom & Free Fringe Philly is taking the stage!

Free Fringe Philly is a new festival that runs parallel to Fringe Festival, with the specific intention of fostering free, fun, and accessible performances across the city! Stay up to date with the festival here & check out the following Free Fringe Philly events at Tattooed Mom!

All Free Fringe Philly shows are FREE, but donations to the artists are greatly appreciated.

7:00pm Lez Belly Dance: A short performance by lesbian couple & belly dance duo!
8:00pm Drunk Lion: The story of an unlikely bond between an alcoholic lion and a man named Chris.
9:30pm In Pasta: An exploration of imposter syndrome (plus a kiddie pool full of spaghetti).

Box Office Bombs: A Cult Movie & TV Art Show

JERKS Productions is bringing their love for Box Office Bombs to the 2nd floor of Tattooed Mom! This event is part of their themed First Friday art show series which alternates months with their Fused Underground First Friday shows! With the theme shows, JERKS aims to challenge artists to take a step out of their comfort zones & focus their work on new themes!

This month’s theme celebrates the films and TV shows that we’ve all come to know & love, despite Siskel and Ebert giving them the thumbs down! JERKS will also be teaming up with Newt Wallen of Schlock and Awe Films to raise money towards keeping the Anthony Wayne theater open and operating!

Unshakable Art Show & Fundraiser

Join us for a one-night-only art show & raffle featuring the works of nine Philadelphia & PA based artists! All proceeds from the raffle will go to For You Haiti in efforts to provide children and families with education and medical resources.

For Your Haiti benefits children of the island La Gonave, and helps provide funding for elementary schools on the island. They also provide a safe community center/after school location specifically focusing on orphans and children with disabilities or medical conditions. Visit their website for more information on the charity.

Art Heals: Black & White

We are thrilled to welcome back the Art Heals group art show for a second time around! Presented by Kyle Confehr, Tattooed Mom, NAMI Bucks County, PA, and NAMI Philadelphia, “#ArtHeals: Black & White” is an exhibition of local Philadelphia artists and artwork hosted in a stigma free environment. This show shines a light on mental health through open discussion and thought provoking black and white imagery. Proceeds from art sales and raffles benefit NAMI’s work to improve the lives of everyone affected by mental illness through education, advocacy, and support.

NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest mental health advocacy organization. NAMI Bucks County and NAMI Philadelphia are your local voice on mental illness. Representatives will be on hand with information, resources, and ways to get involved in mental health advocacy.
