The New Year blazes another journey round the sun, those who live in dark respite under the rays of the moonlight. Under the radiance of her golden eminence, the moon, we gather in reverence to the waning crescent. The Queen of the Damned runway returns this winter with a sliver of Gold across. the night sky. Showcasing the freshest and finest gothic and alternative drag. Fishnets and silver spikes are so last season, witness drag royalty gild their darkest fashion with accents of gold and glamour.

Hosted by Philadelphia’s Queen of Nightmares and Dreams, Lamia summons the spirits of the gloom and doomed from local wells, ditches and Septa stops and stations to display their dismal collections of metallic baubles and shiny scraps. Witness the horror of up-and-coming cryptid lookalikes in this showcase of gothic and alternative drag. Enjoy this Live, In the Studio version of What Not to Wear meets Nosferatu while you feast on the delicacies of Tattooed Mom’s legendary menu of vegan and nonvegan meals, signature cocktails and a one of.a kind selection of drafts and brews.

 

Seating starts at 7pm and the show begins at 8pm. Announce your imminent arrival by RSVPing on Facebook or elevate your experience and reserve your seat with Eventbrite. Practice respect for your fellow guests and be considerate of others’ consent and personal space; keep in mind transphobia, racism, ableism, sexism and homophobia are not tolerated in these halls.

If the world is going to end, at least it’s in classic Hitchcockian style! Theatre Contra is bringing you a live reading of Alfred Hitchcock’s avian horror classic: The Birds!
