Girls Like Horror and PUFF Mixer

Girls Like Horror and the Philadelphia Unnamed Film Festival (PUFF) are teaming up for a night of spooky mixing at Tattooed Mom on Wednesday, September 3th from 6–10PM.

Join us upstairs for a horror-themed event spotlighting local creatives, community and PUFF. The evening includes a special preview of horror clips from this year’s PUFF lineup – that Christina Acevedo of Girls Like Horror will host on October 2nd at Theatre Exile – plus ways to support and learn more about the film festival. The night also marks the launch of Queer Horror: New Perspectives on Macabre Media, the new book by Joe Carlough and Gina Brandolino. Joe will be there tabling with his new book, and Soft Belly Cookies will be there with delicious treats, so stop by, grab a drink, pick up a book, eat some cookies, and hang with fellow horror lovers in one of Philly’s most iconic spaces.

Christina will be hosting a Community Table of Magic Goodies – Bring Something / Take Something: Bring with you a fun item, DVD, Zine, VHS, Button, Sticker, Labubu??? Leave it on the table so you can take something from the table from your fellow Girls Like Horror Club members and friends of PUFF!

Cinema Ray & PUFF present The Evil Within

15 years in the making, The Evil Within could be the next horror cult classic!

Andrew Getty, heir to the Getty Oil fortune, poured $5M of his own money in this production and he personally agonized over every frame. During the 5 years of production, he insisted on elaborate, expensive sets, custom-built camera rigs, and realistic animatronics.  Over the course of 15 years, this horror film consumed Andrew Getty.  He never saw it completed as he died from a methamphetamine overdose on March 31, 3015.

Now YOU can experience the madness due to the collaboration between PUFF & Cinema Ray!  The film with be introduced by PUFF founder, Madeleine Koestner and Birth.Movies.Death. writer, Phil Nobile Jr.

$5 admission

$1 beef or bean tacos (until we run out!)
