Sonder x Poison Tree Magazine Launch

Join us in person for an exciting night celebrating the launch of Philadelphia’s newest magazines hitting the scene: Sonder and Poison Tree. Arrive early (6pm-8pm) for the exclusive chance to sign our guest book –a collaborative exercise you won’t want to miss. Come network with us, purchase hard copies of our first issues, and share your flash fiction, poetry, and short essays during our open mic (8-10pm). Stay afterwards to enjoy drinks, chat about self publishing, and meet other talents in Philadelphia’s writing scene.

Come enjoy an evening hosted by visiting poet Emily Marie Passos Duffy and local author Leah Mele-Bazaz! This multigenre reading of prose, poetry, and hybrid forms will explore a spectrum of sensations from body horror to body elation. What are the limits of the body? How do factors such as ability, age, gender identity and expression, race, size, sexuality, illness, wellness, relationship with your environment, and more shape the language of your body?
