The Hip Hop Dream Team has returned to celebrate the 10 Year Annivesary of the Get Free Movement.

The Attic is Tattooed Mom’s longest running hip hop party. If you’ve been before, you know what to expect. If not, come experience all of the hip hop elements under one roof: graffiti, bboys and bgirls, emcees and turntablism.

Foxx will be on the wheels of steel spinning nothing but classic hip hop and timeless tracks so don’t miss out!

No Introduction, an evening of Theatre

Arielle and Shari’s upcoming show, No Introduction, will be performed Aug 19 & 20th.  In celebration they are throwing a SUPER AWESOME EVENT which will feature sneak peeks of the show.

No Introduction is a dance duet rooted in identity. It specifically explores how Shari Williams and Arielle Pina identify with societal norms about beauty and value in the black community.

This event will feature:
~Silent Auction w/ work from artists Stephen Love and Sakin Jael
~Performing excerpt of original score by Will Colella
~Special Guest: Alexis Mercado from The Electric Lady Series

This month Philly for Change welcomes State Rep. Brian Sims with an update from Harrisburg. Plus, Naiymah Sanchez, transgender advocacy coordinator at ACLU on trans rights, Fight for 15‘s Kate Goodman on minimum wage, and our newest steering committee member, Melissa Robbins of NOW on pay equity.

Philly for Change is a group of reform-minded progressive Democrats. They fight for democracy, social and economic justice for all people, peace, the environment and the green economy at the city, state, and federal levels.
