This is an ever changing gallery: an un-curated & spontaneous outpouring of creativity by local & traveling artists and the countless visitors who leave their unique mark here nightly.

Two Brothers & 5000 Umbrellas

The birth of the upstairs as a vibrant art space is in part tied to a 1999 exhibition by brothers Noah & Nathan Rice. That year the Brothers Rice brought their umbrella wheat pastes we’d been admiring around South Street to Mom’s. All 5000 of them.

Sticker art has been an important part of the upstairs at Mom’s since day one. So it’s a huge honor (and a lot of fun) to be the home of the Sticky Art Machine.

The Tipping Point, Vegan discussion with Vance Lehmkuhl

Starting the new year with a new vegan diet? Curious about a vegan lifestyle? Been a vegan for ages and want to hear about some new ideas? Not vegan at all but want to know what it’s all about?? It’s Veganuary!!!

Vance Lehmkuhl, Philly’s own vegan columnist/cartoonist, has a multimedia presentation featuring song, video, cartooning and readings about living vegan. He’ll discuss how more and more people are becoming vegan, the challenges and opportunities of the lifestyle, and how to enjoy eating vegan in Philly.

All of this on our Meatless Monday, when all the veggie & vegan items are half-price when you eat in house!

Join our friends from the Humane League of Philadelphia for a $4 vegan burgers & half priced draft beers at December’s edition of the monthly Philly Vegan Drinks meet up. Meet with other local vegetarians and vegans in a fun, casual environment & try our delicious vegan menu! Eat, drink, & enjoy…locally, consciously, and, deliciously.
