“Pennsylvania is the only state (commonwealth) in the Lenapehokink that has never recognized its indigenous peoples. Lenape nations in Wisconsin, Oklahoma, and Canada have been recognized by their respective federal governments. Lenape nations in New Jersey and Delaware have been recognized by their respective state governments. The Lenape Nation of Pennsylvania is actively pursuing recognition by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, with the support of our many community friends and partners in Pennsylvania (and beyond). Our people work in Pennsylvania businesses, vote for Pennsylvania officials, protect Pennsylvania rivers and watersheds, and attend Pennsylvania schools, colleges, and universities. We directly call upon Pennsylvania officials to recognize the Lenape Nation of Pennsylvania.”

ACT UP stands for the AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power. We are a diverse, non-partisan group, united in anger, and committed to ending the AIDS crisis through direct action.

Since its inception, ACT UP has used a diversity of direct action tactics to address social inequities that threaten people living with HIV/AIDS and those at risk of infection, both in Philadelphia and around the world.

The AIDS pandemic closely follows the fault lines of broader social injustice. We continue to strive to end the AIDS crisis within the context/ through a lens of ending health disparities that are a clear result of inequality and injustice.

Join us as businesses and animal lovers come together for a daylong, citywide fundraiser in support of PAWS’ lifesaving efforts. A wide variety of restaurants, shops, and service providers will donate at least 10% of their proceeds to bring Philadelphia closer to becoming a no-kill city.

PAWS is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving Philadelphia’s homeless and at-risk pets. PAWS is the city’s largest rescue partner and provider of affordable, basic veterinary care for pet owners and rescue organizations that cannot otherwise access it. PHL Laundry Support started in summer 2020 when the protest encampment, Camp JTD, was formed on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The goal was to supply clean laundry to residents of the encampment and the Covid Prevention Hotel. Since then, the laundry system has transformed to meet the demands of the Philadelphia community. We now pick up and drop off laundry from remote locations across the city for folks in need of full support or funds/supplies. With the continuous support of the community, we have been able to raise ~$7,000, do 1000+ loads of laundry, and provide supplies to folks in need
