Publetters: Letter Writing Station

Bring back the noble art of letter writing!

Every Tuesday this March, PUBLETTERS will be setting up a letter writing station.  Everything is provided: stationery, stamps, even some loaner pens.  Addresses of politicians and notable people who really need to hear from you will be on hand…or you can write to friends, family, or distant relatives.

Publetters is FREE, thanks to Yards Brewing and Trophy Bikes. Empty a glass and fill a page with your words!

Every Tuesday in March from 5-8pm…you’ll find them at a table downstairs. Yards Brewery specials 5-8pm.

$1 all beef or veggie bean tacos (until we run out)
$2.50 Tecates all day
Half off all drafts 5-7 & 10-11pm

Combining trans* advocacy with live performance, Turn Up the Trans*mission has featured local and visiting transgender and/or gender non-conforming artists, and strives to introduce new performers to their lineup every show. Burlesque, drag, live-singing, spoken word, and other performance styles…this varied collection of artists has a purpose.

PHILLY FOR CHANGE is where local progressives meet to discuss progressive change.  It’s a monthly opportunity to meet and engage candidates for local office, ask questions and get involved with grass roots activism. This month’s guests include U.S. Representative Brendan Boyle; his challenger  in the new 2nd District Michelle Lawrence; Kevin Johnson vying for the new 3rd District;  Dan Muroff, candidate for the new 4th; and Joe Webster, Red-to-Blue Harrisburg candidate for the 150th.
