DESCRIPTION:SCRIBES ON SOUTH is a poetry reading and open mic. The reading begins with a 20-minute featured reader and then moves through the open mic list for the rest of the night. Open mic readers have 5 minutes. There will be a space for poets to sell books. \nSCRIBES ON SOUTH seeks to create community through poetry. Show out\, share\, and meet some new friends by sharing your work! \n\n\nThis reading’s featured readers are Brian Graves and Eden Vernier. \nRead poems. Their work focuses on the romances of life\, the weight of relationships\, endlessly unraveling gender\, and living in a body\, often expressing these themes through symbols of nature. Brian continuously seeks vulnerability and comfort in their work and hopes that other queer and trans people of color can find that same safety in the writing. \n \n  \nEden Vernier is.
