DESCRIPTION:Accidental Player is back for their first show of 2017!  Join them as they welcome poets Stacy Szymaszek\, Davy Knittle\, and P.E. Garcia for live poetry and literary readings. \nHalf off all drafts 5-7pm & 10-11pm \n \nStacy Szymaszek is a poet\, and arts administrator/organizer. She was born in Milwaukee\, Wisconsin where in 1999 she started working for Woodland Pattern Book Center. She founded and edited seven issues of GAM\, a free magazine featuring the work of poets living in the upper midwest. In 2005\, she moved to NYC to work for The Poetry Project at St. Mark’s Church\, where she has been its director since 2007. Szymaszek is the author of the books Emptied of All Ships (2005)\, Hyperglossia (2009)\, hart island (2015)\, and Journal of Ugly Sites and Other Journals (2016)\, which won the Ottoline Prize from Fence Books. Her book A Year From Today is forthcoming in 2017 with Nightboat Books. She is the recipient of a 2014 New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in Poetry. She is a regular teacher for Naropa University’s Summer Writing Program\, and mentor for Queer Art Mentorship. \nDavy Knittle‘s poems and reviews have appeared recently or are forthcoming in Fence\, Jacket2\, Denver Quarterly and The Iowa Review. His second chapbook\, “empathy for cars / force of july\,” was published by horse less press in 2016. He lives in Philadelphia where he curates the City Planning Poetics series at the Kelly Writers House. \nP.E. Garcia is a contributor for HTMLGiant and an editorial assistant at the Rumpus. They have a good dog.
